France, give your best shot, but we'll take the Piste.

16/04/15 Day 30, Thursday, France, Collioure to Leucate, Campground Municipal, 53kms. Cloudy Day, 30km/h SE winds from 12pm, mist, some rain once we arrived at the campground. 16degC max temp. Departed 9am arrived 3pm.

Nice pastries for breakfast.
25kms on EV8 at least.
Both had an average attitude today.
Mc Donald's for lunch.
Some great pistes & took lots of good photos.

Went to the toilet at CampGround but looks like a code is needed to enter, went back informed Jen, we went to a different toilet with the same keypad, tried our code given to us by CG manager and nothing. Just about to leave and a girl about 8yo pulled the door towards her and low and behold it wasn't even locked... I went to cubicle 3 just a pan no seat, bummer, then I looked around and you guessed it no dunny paper, so here we go again & I haven't replenished our emergency roll since Barcelona.

The Leucate area is susceptible to earthquakes, there are warning signs everywhere, also signs about flooding and what evacuation route to take, so even though the roof won't cave in on us we are hoping the BIG sirens, which are positioned every where don't go off in the middle of the night.

Way behind on the blog so just copy & paste my notes across. My fault for not spending 3 days searching for a vodaphone or orange mobile shop.

Riding North out of Collioure, France. GPS Dave decided on a scenic route.

Some beach front cycling, provides us with some interesting people views.

A lot of beaches have a tractor rake them every morning, not this one I guess.

We find ourselves on the elusive, Euro Velo 8 Route.

Car of the day, an old Citreon.

EV8, most of the time we just make up our own EV8 Route.

Nice not to be on a busy highway, still on the EV8.

The wind is howling, a cold sea mist rolls in, Jenny battles onwards.

It's so easy to find the EV8 when there are sigh posts every where.

Taking a bridge across to an Island for some more excellent riding through reserves.

On a clear day the view would be amazing.

Jen checking the route on Madam Google, while I indulge in a selfie.

Campground in Leucate, always good to find some chairs to sit on.

The bar is closed but we decided to use it anyway.

Raining outside so we decided to dine in.
