Thursday 26/03/15, House Beach to 4 Mile Beach in Fitzgerald NP.Near

26/03/15 Thursday, House Beach to 4 Mile Beach in Fitzgerald NP, near Hopetoun. 10.30am to 4pm, 234 kms.
Well after a relaxing day at House Beach, fishing, bush walking and sitting around the camp we got away today at 10.30am. Just as a large contingent of Recreational Fishermen arrived for an extended long weekend of fishing and drinking. There was about 9 off road vehicles and 4 small boats.
We had to reverse up for the stragglers a couple of times as we exited the area down the narrow sandy tracks.
We traveled on some heavily corrugated dirt roads past Quaalup Wilderness Lodge and into the western section of Fitzgerald NP ($12 for access). Then out onto the Southern Highway for a little while before re-entering the NP on the Eastern side via West River Rd. The scenery and flora have been exceptionally stunning.
We've had to pay $20 to camp at 4 mile, Jenny got the camp sorted out while I ducked into Hopetoun for some supplies. There is only one other camp site here that is occupied, you can hear the waves crashing on the beach.

Near Quaalup Wilderness Lodge, Food & Drink stop.
