We left at 8.30am , the first 100kms were gravel and we arrived in Coolgardie around 10am. Then about 40kms of road works until we could sit on the 110km/h speed limit. There are a few fairly direct routes we can take home from west of Southern Cross but on this occasion we decided on the trusty old Great Eastern Highway to Perth.
Not a lot to report it's a reasonably busy highway & I drove it many times when I lived in and around Kalgoorlie during the late 80's, early 90's. So when Jenny was driving I concentrated on my kindle book.
The drive ended up taking 9hrs (we stopped for a few breaks) arrived home at 5.30pm.
On the outskirts of Perth. |

Had my appointment with the Ophthalmologist & am happy to report the pressure in my right eye has halved, still have to keep taking drops but all good.
We also dropped Jenny's motor bike into Mandurah Honda for a 6000km service & then over to Mandurah Bike Man to pick up some bicycle boxes for our European trip in 2 weeks.
Tomorrow Jenny has to get her teeth sorted, so we are cranking up the final preps for our departure on the 17th of March.
