Day 10 - Downhill to Donnybrook

Day 10 - Downhill to Donnybrook

Yesterday took us most of the day to do 12kms. Today we pushed it 45km in about the same time.  Just shows your how different each day can be on your bike.

Leaving the hut today at 7am after waking early. The first thing we faced was a huge hill,  but we new that would be the worst for the day.

There was a12km diversion due to logging so we scored some ripper downhill runs, and we came out just near Gnomesville.

From there it was mostly downhill through Ferguson Valley, which was super fun  (a little cool too). Boyanup was an extra 4km in and out so we skipped that and headed along Hurst rd, part Irishtown. A few inclines here so we pretended to be in the Peloton, taking turns in front. ...ha ha ha.

This took us to Southwest highway,  so we took a short cut left, straight to Donnybrook.

We stopped to buy some delicious fresh cherries and discuss inflation with the old coote and his wife who've been married for 50yrs. We took off into the wind and Donnybrook.

I set up the tent at the Donnybrook Travelers Park,  while Will cooked me up a delicious steak burger surprise.

Yes they are smoked oysters under the egg. ...it was actually really yummy.

It was a nice night and a nice shower.
