Rain was predicted for the whole day today, and they were right. It started over night, and didn't really stop. It eased right off around 2ish, so we jumped on our bikes and head off to the pharmacy and supermarket.
Lucky, as I was bored shitless. No Wifi, so I can't surf the net, I'm all out of books on my IPad, and there are only so many Pets you can Rescue in a day. We'd had fifty thousand cups of coffee, so at least I was going for long walks in the rain on regular intervals (2km round trip to the loo, well maybe not quite, but in the rain feels like it).
See, Macca's is good for something! Free Wifi.
It was bloody cold too, but I found a little heater in the caravan and cranked it up.
So we have real food to cook for dinner, bacon and eggs for breakfast (OMG I'm so excited) and food for lunch tomorrow. We raced into Macca's and had a burger and used their free Wifi, which worked, for an hour to catch up on blogs, then raced home in the rain. Man we're fast with unloaded bikes and rain...
Now we are sitting in the Gypo van, heater cranked, glass of wine and a beer, saving more pets. Looking forward to getting out there again. Weather is changing tonight, for tomorrow, to partly sunny and 21C. We are heading north now, along the Bodensee (Lake Constance for the Germans). Should be a good day, Will has done the bike maintenance, and they are keen to get rolling.
