Road trip to Adelaide

Friday night Will and I booked into the Ocean Beach Hotel for the night. Olivia is a 2nd year Chef apprentice there and it was time we tested it out. She had us a dinner resevration for 6pm and all the staff running around after us as if we were celebrity food critics.

The food was really good, fresh and delicious. The views were spectacular with kite surfers, surf lifesaving boat races, joggers, walkers and a beautiful sunset.

Saturday was our daughter, Harper's birthday, so we took her out to breakfast before picking up our travel vehicle from Britz, and heading home to sell our work ute and pack the troupie. I was so excited to be heading off on a road trip again.

We left just after 3pm, bit later than planned, but that is usual. We only got a couple of hours driving but I didn't care....it's great to be adventuring again.

I found an app for camping in Australia, Wikicamps AU, so we are testing it out by stopping at some of the spots marked on it.

Pretty good so far. Hotham River and Pumphreys Bridge are right next to each other and both good spots. We parked near the Warby Pavilion,  and due to it being cricket season,  we had to inspect the pitch.

We discovered the vehicle did not come with Camp chairs, (rookie mistake) and we didn't pack our own, so Will managed to find a couple of suitable fill ins.
Cruisie start for our Sunday morning heading over to Norseman using some back roads. Bloody hot today, I am certain it got to 45C today, as it does, and it is still over 40C now after 6pm.
Notice the special seating
Dinner at the Norseman Hotel with good friend Nicole was a pleasant surprise. Food was good, beer was very cold. Aircon was working. Back at our camp, it is still bloody hot, so a few more beers before bed tonight.
